The event doubles as LWVDK’s monthly Full Body Membership Meeting and is free and open to the public. Members, prospective members, and community residents are all welcome to attend.

The Conversations with Women Leaders series highlights women serving in elected and appointed leadership roles across DeKalb County, giving residents a chance to hear directly from local officials about their work and their perspective on public service. Sheriff Maddox, the first woman elected to lead the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, will join League members and the public for a conversation about her role overseeing the county’s jail, court security, and civil process operations.
